Thursday, July 9th, I noticed Roquefort acting a little off. She was moving a little slower, nothing too concerning. I made a mental note and looked her over Thursday evening. I quickly realized I was most likely dealing with mastitis when I felt that one side of her udder was hard and lumpy.

I decided to milk her out a little. When yellow watery stuff came out of her teat with chunks of white I knew I had a case of mastitis.

Friday morning I called the vet. She was prescribed an antibiotic and I administered it later in the day along with some banamine for the pain.

Saturday to Monday Roquefort was still acting fine and eating good however her udder didn’t seem to be improving too much.
